Projects

I am currently exploring the debates and discussions concerning the establishment of national constitutions during the Age of Enlightenment, namely those of the United States, Poland and France. More specifically, I am interested in how the ratification of the Polish constitution of May 3, 1791 affected the thinking of the American founding fathers and conversely, how American institutions and experience were perceived in Poland. As an extension of my interest in 18th century political institutions, I am also exploring the effect of these institutions on present-day policy, specifically relations between the U.S. and Poland.
